Tasting: 10am to 5pm daily - Fee: $5/person; $10/person for premium winesFrom the web site: "Overlooking the Sonoma valley, Viansa Winery and Marketplace is a picturesque wine country destination. Located in the world renowned Los Carneros region of Sonoma and Napa, Viansa produces over 15 fantastic varietals of wine, all available for wine tasting. Enjoy rustic Italian cuisine in the heart of California wine country." Personal comments:
Positioned at the south end of Sonoma Valley, Viansa is one of the first wineries most visitors coming from San Francisco have the opportunity to visit. It's commodious tasting room and marketplace, as well as it's views over the marshland south of Sonoma, make it a worthy stop on any Sonoma wine tour. Also, the day I was there (late June 2009) there was a sign offering a free tasting if you could show them your VISA Signature card -- it might be worth looking for that when you visit. - Roy Tennant
